This Meetball Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, disclosure, and sharing of your personal information when you use the Meetball Platform, App, or Website ("Meetball Platform"). This Privacy Policy applies to activities by Meetball ("We" or "us" or "our"). Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Use. Meetball is the data controller of your personal information and is responsible for providing you with this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you, from third parties, and automatically through your use of our Platform.
Account and Profile Data
When you create an account and profile on our Meetball Platform, we collect your name, email address, and other information you provide, such as LinkedIn profile, topics that you know about or find interesting. You can choose to add your photo, country of residence, place of employment, education history, and any other information to your public-facing profile. Once you create a profile, others will be able to see certain information about your activity on the Meetball Platform, such as the questions and help offers you post, your followers and who you follow, topics of interest to you, and your User name except password or sensitive information.
Your Content
We collect the information and content that you post to the Meetball Platform, including your questions, help offers, comments, photos, and the edit history to your content. Unless you have posted certain content anonymously, your content, date and time stamps, and all associated comments are publicly viewable on the Meetball Platform. When you post anonymously, your identity will be revealed to users who respond with "I can help" and may be accessed by Meetball for moderation purposes or if the content gets reported by users. Your content may be indexed by search engines and be republished elsewhere on the Internet in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Help Requests and Connection Data
We collect information about help requests you post, offers you make to help others, successful connections made through our platform, and feedback from networking interactions to improve our matching algorithms and community features.
Event and Community Data
We may collect information about events you attend or plan to attend, communities you join, networking preferences, location data (when you enable location services), and connection success metrics to enhance our event networking features.
Contribution and Performance Data
For contributors to our open startup model, we may collect information about work contributions, time commitments, performance evaluations, and points allocation.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, log files, pixel tags, local storage objects, and other similar technologies to automatically collect information about your activities, such as your searches, page views, date and time of your visit, and other information about your use of the Meetball Platform. We also collect information about your web browser or mobile device in connection with your use of the Meetball Platform such as your browser type, type of computer or mobile device, browser language, IP address, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, and requested and referring URLs. We also receive information when you view content on or otherwise interact with the Meetball Platform, even if you have not created an account. Meetball Platform Engagement Data
We collect Meetball Platform engagement and browsing information, such as IP address, date and time stamp, user agent, cookie ID, URLs visited, or content identifiers (if applicable), time zone, and other information about your activity on the Meetball Platform.

How We Use Your Information and Legal Basis for Processing
We process the information we collect for the following purposes, and under the following legal basis. You may decline to submit personal information through the Meetball Platform, in which case we may not be able to provide certain services to you.
Provide our Services
To provide you the services we offer on the Meetball Platform, create and manage your account and make the Meetball Platform available to the public, communicate with you about your use of the Meetball Platform, respond to your inquiries, provide troubleshooting, and for other customer service purposes.
Facilitate Connections
To connect people through shared purpose by matching help requests with offers to help, facilitating meaningful networking at events and within communities, and enabling our core "Can you help?" / "I can help!" functionality.
Contributor Relations
To manage our open startup contributor program, including tracking contributions, performance evaluations, points allocation, and facilitating fair recognition within our community (legitimate interest and contractual necessity). Please note that data processing under this privacy policy does not create any legal entitlement to points, recognition, or any form of compensation or ownership rights.
Event and Community Features
To enhance networking experiences at events, suggest relevant connections, provide location-based services (when enabled), and improve community building features.
Personalization
To tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you in the Meetball Platform. We also use your information to suggest followers and content, to help others find your profile, to offer location customization, and personalized help and instructions, and to otherwise personalize your experiences while using the Meetball Platform. It is in our legitimate interests to provide you with a customized experience.
Enable Communications
To facilitate communications you send to us or to other users on the Meetball Platform. We process information about who you have communicated with to better understand the use of our services.
Analytics & Development
To gather analytics and metrics to better understand how users use the Meetball Platform. We also use analytics data to evaluate and improve the Meetball Platform, including personalization, and to develop new products and services.

To comply with the laws to which we are subject.
Prevent Fraud and Misuse
To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or violations of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy. This processing is necessary to comply with legal obligations and to serve our legitimate interest in preventing misuse of the Meetball Platform, including through illegal activities and fraud.
User Research
We may ask you to help us test new features or participate in surveys to help enhance your experience. Your participation is voluntary, and we may use your personal information to communicate with you to seek your feedback.

Event Partners
We may share limited information with event organizers or community partners to facilitate networking and enhance event experiences, subject to your consent and our partnership agreements.

We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law, where we believe it necessary to respond to claims asserted against us or, comply with legal process, enforce or administer our agreements and terms, for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, and protect the rights, property, or safety of Meetball, its users, or others.
Your Content and Public Information
Your content, including your name, profile picture, profile information, help requests, offers to help, and certain associated activity information is available to other users of the Meetball Platform and may also be viewed publicly by non users. Public viewing includes availability to non-registered visitors and users may share your content across other sites. In addition, your content may be indexed by search engines.
Do-Not-Track Signals
Please note we do not change system behaviour within the Meetball Platform in response to browser requests not to be tracked. You may, however, disable certain tracking by third parties as discussed in our Cookie Policy.
How We Secure and Store Your Information
Security
We maintains appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, destruction, and altercation.
Retention
We keep your personal information for as long as we have a relationship with you. After your account ends we retain your personal information only as long as necessary for a period of time that enables us to comply with record retention requirements under the law, and defend or bring any existing or potential legal claims. Contributor performance data and points allocation information may be retained longer for transparency and accountability purposes within our open startup model. After these periods, we securely delete or anonymize personal data.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the local laws, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. These may include rights to:

Cookie & Tracking Consent
Our Platform uses essential, functional, analytical, and marketing cookies. Non-essential cookies require your active, informed consent (via banner or settings). You may withdraw consent or delete cookies via browser settings or Cookie Policy.
International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed or stored outside the EEA (e.g., U.S.-based services). Where applicable, we ensure compliance by using EU Standard Contractual Clauses or ensuring transfers only to jurisdictions with adequacy decisions.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 16 or knowingly allow such persons to create a Meetball account. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 we take steps to delete that account.
Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you, including by denying or providing a different level or quality of services if you choose to exercise your privacy rights.
